Integral Yogic Psychology

The source of these wisdom teachings is from Sri Aurobindo Goshe and Mother Mirra who established the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry, India, and wrote many books on human consciousness which offer insight into the true meaning of life on earth and the present evolutionary crisis we are facing. The aim of integral yoga is to integrate the body, mind and spirit by combining physical practice and a philosophical approach to life in order to develop the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of individuals. According to the teachings, spirit manifests itself in a process of involution (downward vortex) and evolution (upward vortex) in order to move toward complete manifestation of spirit. The result is transformation of our narrow human way of thinking, seeing, feeling and being into a deep and wide spiritual consciousness.
